Why do we exist?
Perlego exists to solve two main problems:
- Textbooks are expensive: we provide an affordable and convenient alternative for students to access their course materials
- Academic publishers lose around 63% of potential revenue to piracy and secondary sales: students turn to pirated or second hand copies of books, meaning publishers miss out on huge amounts of revenue every year. We aim to put some of that revenue back in the publisher’s pockets by intercepting searches for pirated copies and directing users to Perlego
